"Air India, you SUCK".

This was the outburst from a woman (I think she is an NRI, judging by her accent) who was travelling along with her 14 month old kid.
(She was supposed to land in Mumbai. But due to the record rainfall the flight was diverted to Delhi. In Delhi, Air India refused to give her a ticket to Bangalore.)
Showing her newly bought Indain Airlines Ticket she said "From now on, I am never coming to India by Air India. I will only come by Indian Airlines."

Oh My God!!!. Indian Airlines!!!. It SUCKS THE MOST. I hope she reached Bangalore safely.

(P.S. If there is a "Top 25" list of the world's worst airlines, then Air India and Indain Airlines will be there in it for sure. )

Tour de Lance.

Not a typo!!!. By winning the most gruelling cycling event in the world for an unprecedented seventh time in a row, Lance Armstrong has made the Tour De France virtually his private possession.
Armstrong will not be competing in the next edition of this event, "Going out on Top" is a rare feat in sports and he has done this on an all time high. Lance Armstrong, take a bow!!!.

What's in the name?

For the tropical storms that form in the Atlantic Ocean they have got this unique names. "Dennis" The Menace being the latest to devastate Cuba and the Gulf Coast of the United States.
Similarly they have names for the Typhoons that originate in the Pacific and the Chinese/Japanese seas.
Then, why the hell we dont have names for the cyclones that are formed in the Bay of Bengal?. Every year atleast a couple of these cyclones are formed in the Bay of Bengal near the Tamil Nadu and Andhra pradesh coast.
So it is time that our Met. Department do some work and coin some names for these.

My suggestion is to have names according to the region in which it is formed. Typically, if the cyclone starts from Tamil Nadu coast then lets say we will name it as "Maayandi". If it originates in Andhra then name it as "some" Reddy, so on and so forth.

So let us come up with a list of names from the states along the coromandel coast.
(P.S. It is also good to include Bangladesh. For where ever the cyclone is formed, its eventual destination is Bangladesh!!!)

Lady Luck

After an exhausting week, me and my colleague were there in the airport ready to fly back

While checking in, I was waiting for the lady to tell that I was having excess baggage.
Surprise, she just gave me my boarding pass and the baggage tokens. I was carrying more than 10 kilos of what was allowed.(Courtesy, one bag full of electronic equipments and cables.) You thought I was lucky?. The best part is yet to come. We were waiting at the gate. The same lady comes up and calls me and my colleague to contact the desk. I was thinking that she is going tell me something about the excess baggage, And.. Surprise!!!, We have been bumped into Business Class!!!.

Business class is cool. You get nice magazines, unlimited nice food...

A great end to a great week.
