Performance "Retarding" Drugs ?

What is common between Neelam Singh, Pratima Kumari and Sanamacha Chanu.?. All of them are Indian atheltes found to be guilty of taking performance enhancing drugs.

Now consider their performances during which they were found guilty of doping.

Neelam Singh is a discuss thrower. She was placed 19th out of the 22 contestants at the 10th World championships at Helsiniki .

Sanamacha Chanu is a weight lifter and she was placed 4th in the Athens Olympics.

Pratima Kumari is a weight lifter and she was found to contain the baneed substances even before the actual competition started at the Athens Olympics.

So the best effort was a 4th place finish inspite of taking performance enhancing drugs.

I say this is a sheer waste of performance enhancing drugs. It makes sense to dope,if one can finish in the top 3. But finishing 19th... well there is no need for anything to finish at the bottom.

So the question here is, did they take perfomance retarding drugs instead of performance enhancing drugs?.

2nd Test - Ashes 2005.

What a Test Match!!!. My gut feeling at the start of the day with Australia requiring 107 runs and England just needing two wickets was that the Australians will win this.

When Simon Jones dropped a catch at third man with 7 required for victory, I thought luck was with the Aussies. But the Englishmen held on to their nerves to clinch a nerve racking 2 runs victory.

Hats off to Shane Warne, Brett Lee and Michael Kasprowicz for their lion hearted performance.

This was Flintoff's Test match. He was consoling Lee after the end of the match. A nice gesture indeed, after all the hits Lee took from Flintoff and Harmison.

The Half Blood Prince.

Before I started reading, my friend told me that this is the best of all. For me the Goblet of Fire was the best. I finished reading the book yesterday and for me the Goblet of Fire still remains the best. (The worst is the Order of the Phoenix).

I was a bit of a rude jolt to see Dumbledore dying. The seven Horcruxes of Voldemort, well Rowling must have got the inspiration from some Vittalacharya movie.
